A HOTEL IN
WASHINGTON. D.C
This hotel resides between two very crucial points in the fabric of the city: the Capitol building and Union Station. Its location exists within a proposed urban renewal plan for the area—a plan which sought to implement more mixed-used building types to transition the east neighborhood to the high-rise private business buildings in the west. The proposal thus created a pedestrian-only commercial street that connects Union Station to the Capitol; along this street is where this hotel sits. Featuring a corner bar, rooftop bar, restaurant and cafe, the hotel seeks to engage the busy street and become a welcome place for young professionals, tourists, and the tired pedestrian in need of a beautiful space and fresh food.
